After years of consultation with performers, teachers and students to determine the optimal modern guitar for study and concerts, we arrived at the Modell Espressivo. In this model we achieved what these players sought; projection, balanced and transparent sound quality and timbre, good sustain, easy response and playability.
The Modell Espressivo was described in Gitarre Aktuell as having the greatest projection and sustain of any guitar the authors had measured, which they attributed to the instrument’s innovative lattice bracing.

The Modell Espressivo is inspired by the cello, which one can see in the solid wood arched back and the elevated fretboard.
The top is made of cedar or spruce. The back and sides are Indian rosewood, although flamed maple and cypress are also available, as are more tonewoods upon request.
Arched back: Like a cello the solid wood arched back is without bracings. This has great influence on the tone and sound projection.
Elevated fingerboard: Facilitates greater playability at the higher frets than a conventional guitar, as the angle to the top allows for more pressure and ease.
Lattice bracing: This bracing of the solid wood top makes for a balanced sound in all registers.
Sound port: The extra sound hole in the upper bout helps the guitarist to better control his playing. The built-in sound box inside the body focuses the sound for the player. Excellent for chamber musicians.
Zero fret: We picked up this little relic from German guitar builders of the past. We believe that with the zero fret the sound of open notes and fretted notes are more equally matched in quality. Players of the Modell Espressivo agree.
Rosewood bridge with 12-hole tie block: For optimal force distribution (traction and leverage) of the bridge on the soundboard, as well as for optimal sound transmission.
